About & Background

"I'm a lead frontend engineer who crafts intuitive, high-performance interfaces for Web3 — from MEV-aware trading platforms and full DeFi ecosystems to the SDKs and data pipelines behind them. I care about seamless design, scalable architecture, and shipping products that feel effortless."

Work Experience

  • Leading the client-side architecture for Angstrom, a MEV-aware DEX — designing how the trading interface connects with protocol data, backend services, indexing systems, and on-chain execution flows.
  • Building the Angstrom web app with Next.js 15: multi-chain EVM wallet flows, live protocol state updates, on-chain execution, and real-time trading feedback across a Uniswap v4 hooks-based trading product.
  • Implementing a Rust backend gateway that consolidates subgraph data, off-chain indexed state, and RPC reads into frontend-optimized APIs for high-performance trading flows and protocol analytics.
  • Building multi-chain subgraphs on Goldsky with a custom AssemblyScript npm package to decode Angstrom-specific encoded data during the indexing pipeline.
  • Working end-to-end across product and engineering — refining UX flows, reviewing interface decisions, and translating user feedback and Google Analytics insights into product improvements.
  • Applying AI-assisted development workflows with Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini to accelerate implementation, debugging, and product iteration.
  • Delivered a full DeFi ecosystem (Swaps, Lending, Perps, Governance) and BeraJS, a modular Web3 SDK for EVM-compatible hooks and actions.
  • Implemented scalable data layers using GraphQL subgraphs, Apollo Client, and Goldsky for real-time state management.
  • Integrated advanced analytics tools like Google Analytics and Hotjar to drive data-informed UI/UX optimizations.
  • Led team sprints in Jira and conducted design reviews in Figma, utilizing Next.js 14, Wagmi, Viem, and Tailwind CSS to build high-fidelity interfaces.

Frontend Lead

Aperture Finance
Jun 2022 — Aug 2023
  • Led a dynamic team in the development and successful launch of Aperture Finance, a pseudo delta-neutral strategy DeFi app for Avalanche & Terra, and UniV3 automation tooling for Ethereum & Arbitrum.
  • Executed key roles as tech lead — project planning, timeline control, and design review — focusing on TypeScript with Turbo, Next.js 13, SWR, Wagmi, and Ethers.js.
05

Software Developer

The Co-operators
May 2019 — Sep 2020
  • Led the development of web applications using React and Angular on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and MongoDB or PostgreSQL as the database.
  • Single-handedly developed a React component library with a unique UI that became the standard for future React projects in the Kitchener development department.
